Translucency and Rare Features

Given its versatility, Larimar can be found in many forms: from raw stones to variously shaped, mirror-polished gems, and exclusive jewelry pieces.

Most people typically evaluate Larimar only by its looks because that’s what sells and gives Larimar its value in the first place.

As Jan, the founder of Larimar Miner, says, “I agree that if a piece speaks to your heart and you like it, then you know you want it, and the price becomes just a number”

The second factor is its uniqueness and because Larimar is a scarce gemstone, some variants are harder to find so in that case, the looks are secondary and the unique features are what sets the Larimar price. In the end, these features create value and make you appreciate the concrete piece. Ideal for art collectors.

When purchasing something as precious as Larimar, it’s comforting to be assured that your investment was well-made.

Luckily, Larimar tends to appreciate in time and since it’s been increasingly hard to extract it, we’ll see this trend to continue.

The deeper you mine, the deeper the blue.

Super Blue Larimar comes from the deepest Larimar veins 300m below the ground.

Due to its limited supply and popularity among collectors, Larimar has become incredibly valuable, with the highest quality specimens selling for up to $50 per gram (matching the price of gold; that’s why Larimar is sometimes called the ‘Blue Gold’)

We predict the AAA Top Grade Larimar, Super Blue Larimar and Fractal Larimar or even some rare Copper Larimar to surpass in value many popular gemstones in the future.
