Grading & Pricing

The Larimar Grading Standard

From everyday A grade to the legendary Super Blue — how we read the stone, and what each tier is worth.

How we grade

We weigh Color, Pattern, Health and Clarity first — then Size, Shape and rare properties like Translucency and Chatoyancy. Each Larimar type is read against slightly different criteria.

Larimar has no single internationally enforced grade the way diamonds do. Treat these tiers as a transparent, repeatable guide — not a universal law.

Prices are "up to USD per gram" guide figures for processed Larimar. Collectors often see Larimar as value-holding; we only describe what we observe in the market and make no promise about any single stone's future value.

Larimar pricing

Processed Larimar is measured in grams or carats; rough in kilograms. Premiums run roughly +20–200% for artisanal work, +20–90% for rare geodes, and far higher for world-class jewellery. Price reflects the uniqueness of each piece.
